我琼·贝兹是个噪音

A frank and generous portrait of the folk legend and activist with the incredible voice who, at the age of 82, continues to fight the good fight. A visual diary from a cultural icon. In a sun-drenched cabin in Woodside, California, the directors meet the now 82-year-old Joan Baez. She is one of the 20th century’s greatest folk singers and activist voices, and in the autumn of her career she contiunues to shine. ‘Joan Baez, I Am A Noise’ is structured as a visual diary anchored in Baez’s extraordinary archive, including newly discovered home movies, diaries, artworks and sound recordings. At the same time, the singer is remarkably honest and revealing about her life on and off stage – from her lifelong psychiatric struggles to her myriad activist causes with Dr Martin Luther King and others, to a heartbreaking romance and musical partnership with a young Bob Dylan. A searingly honest look at a living legend who has never told the full truth about her life – until now.

模糊乐队：直到尽头

A treasure trove of live and archive footage drives this portrait of the British band as they prepare to tour their new album. Filmed over a decade, but also drawing in a wealth of footage from throughout their career, Toby L’s documentary portrait explores Blur’s trajectory, from a group of friends jamming to becoming one of the most acclaimed British bands of the last 35 years. It captures them as they come together to record what will be the critical and commercial success The Ballad of Darren, leading to their first – and sell-out – shows at Wembley stadium in the summer of 2023. The film shows how the group have continued to forge new creative paths, never resting on the laurels of former glories. With their recent performance at Coachella yet another defining moment of their recent revival, this is the perfect time to look back on their career.

永不停息的梦：保罗·西蒙的音乐

The legendary singer has finally received the major portrait film he deserves. Oscar winner Alex Gibney unravels Paul Simon&#39s life&#39s work, from his time with Art Garfunkel to solo highlight &#39Graceland&#39 to his latest album. ‘His music floats around you, enters your lungs, and suddenly you’re breathing through the songs.’ The Oscar-winning director Alex Gibney is speaking about Paul Simon, whom he has been given exclusive access to while the 82-year-old musician is recording his latest album, ‘Seven Psalms’. Through a goldmine of photographs, interviews and never-before-seen footage, Gibney unravels the many iconic moments, from Simon Garfunkel’s early days to their reunion concert in front of 750,000 people in Central Park. ‘In Restless Dreams’ is the portrait of Paul Simon he has always deserved. We will screen the film once during CPH:DOX and transform the Bremen Theatre into Rufaro Stadium in Zimbabwe in 1986, when both the film and Simon’s career culminate in an unforgettable concert.
